The challenge
Onboard, StackUp's community engagement platform, worked but felt disconnected. Users struggled to navigate between features, admins found quest creation confusing, and the backend couldn't scale.
Context
Onboard is StackUp's platform for community engagement and quest creation. The initial release functioned but lacked cohesion → disconnected flows, underutilised features, and infrastructure that couldn't scale. The redesign established clear information architecture, streamlined core experiences, and integrated Onboard seamlessly into StackUp's broader ecosystem.
The solution
I led the complete redesign — from research and information architecture to interface design and component systems, establishing a cohesive foundation that could grow with the product.

Discovering the research
I audited every screen, component, and flow — tagging inconsistencies and friction points throughout. User behaviour data revealed where people abandoned tasks, created workarounds, or misunderstood features.
